AWANA

We want every child to know that God loves them unconditionally and to develop a deep understanding of the Bible so that they are able to make wise decisions daily!

One of the key ways we do this is through Awana which is one of our core ministries here at DeWitt E-Free. At Awana we put into practice Proverbs 22:6 which says to “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”

The Awana program (originally an acronym for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed”) is open to all kids four years thru sixth grade. We meet almost every Wednesday night from September through April from 6:10pm until 8:00pm.

Each night includes:

  • Opening Time with pledges and prayer

  • Council Time with singing and an age appropriate object lesson

  • Handbook Time for working on understanding and memorizing verses

  • Game Time with a fun game and a snack

  • Closing Time for celebrating the evening and distributing awards

We love to have new friends join us any time during the year!  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Cindy Nees.
