The Other Helper

Many Christians read the stories of the first disciples and think to themselves, “I could be godlier and more faithful if only I had Jesus with me like they did.” Yet before Jesus left he made a promise that the Father would give us “another Helper.”

If you love me, you will keep my commandments. And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you (John 14:15-17).

This would not be a different kind of helper or a less significant helper, but a Helper who was of the same kind as Jesus himself. The Holy Spirit dwells with us today and is in believers. Yet there are many false teachers who have confused the masses about who He is and what He came to do.

Please join us for this “We Believe” series as we consider the identity, mission and ministries of the Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Trinity. Let us together consider his majesty and his glorious deeds with one another.
