“The Shattered Image”

When God created the heavens and the earth, he created mankind as the culmination to all that he had made. God created man, both male and female, in his own image unlike any other object or living creature that had been made (Gen 1:27). Thus people serve as representatives of the God of the universe and were made to reflect his glory.

That image was shattered by the presence of sin. God’s representatives went to war. And sin distorted and alienated the image bearer from his Creator.

However, a Redeemer came and once again showed us the One who made us. Now daily those who have been made new are being renewed in the image of our Creator.

Please join us for this “We Believe” series as we consider man as an image bearer, the horrible cost of sin, and the redemption that we have found through the One who is “the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.”
